Check out this Cruise lines will often offer cruises with no singles supplement but look at Norwegian Cruise Line (very informal) Cunard (still has formal evenings), Royal Caribbean and Holland America come to mind.
You might be better talking to a travel agent who understands the cruise business but do some online research first to see what it out there.
Solo cruising is a very sociable holiday so that should not be a problem. Don't know what your mobility issues are but you can take or hire a mobility scooter to use onboard if necessary.
Thank you both for your help. I looking for somewhere abroad and dont mind flying to starting port. Informal would probably suit me best and kids not a problem. I use a crutch so would need some help maybe getting around and a seat in shower if they do them? I can travel virtually any time but would like it to be warm where ever I book to but not boiling!
