Hi, we have apackage holiday booked with Jet2 and we are meant to be flying in 19 days time,
however, my son has just broken his leg and we are unsure if he can fly or not,
and also admittedly whether we want to go on the holiday with our son being in
a full leg cast. Stupidly I didn’t have anytravel insurance prior to my son breaking his leg, but it appears we can still
get insurance even with me declaring my sons broken leg. Now, my question is, will we still be able toclaim all our holiday back on the insurance if:
1. Wedecide we don’t want to go on the holiday anymore,
Or
2. Thedoctor provides a letter (during my sons hospital referral) saying he’s not fit
to fly
With us knowing and the insurancecompany knowing that he has a broken leg. I’ve tried reading all the T&C’s for Jet2 and the insurance companyand cant find anything definitive. Thankyou for any advice/information.
I know there are other potential options,i.e. speak to Jet2 and change dates – doing this we will lose 90% of costs or change
names and sell holiday to somebody else.
If your doctor provides a letter stating that your son is not fit to fly, this could potentially be grounds for a claim.
