My partner and I have just returned from a 2-week holiday in Malta. We stayed at the Riu Seabank Hotel in Mellieha Bay. The restaurants in the nearby area did not impress but we found this place in St. Julians which we absolutely loved!

It's a little Scandinavian / Maltese restaurant called D'Viking in Ball Street, Paceville. It's run by a Norwegian guy, Tom, and his Maltese girfriend. The food is home made and absolutely gorgeous and really good value as well!!

I'm Norwegian and we first went there because I'd read about it and I was curious, but my boyfriend, who is English really loved it as well. The food is 'heaven on a plate' as he put it! Needless to say we returned several times during our holiday and it really was a highlight!!
