Paphos airport is small compared to gatwick and may not even have the mascara you want. I would get it at Gatwick when you can. It's not like it would be loads cheaper at paphos even if you could get it.

Duty is irrelavant on items like make up as there is no actual duty levied in the first place as there is with items like cigerettes and alcohol. We all know though that duty free shops sell perfume and make up much cheaper than we can get it on the high street so I guess that is what Sam is referring to.
