Hi can anybody give us any information on Puglia. We like mainly beach based holidays (locals or international not just Brits) with a few days out. We also prefer to use public transport.
We would want to stay in an apartment or a small house / villa .We don't want hotels. One town that has been mentioned to us is Otranto. Is Ryanair the only budget airline to fly to Brindisi?
We are in our 40s with a 15year old daughter.
Is Puglia right for us?
Dave
I live in puglia where I also rent a trullo.
Definitely a great beach holiday even though the cost round Otranto is rocky, not sandy... Otranto is beautiful!
If you want sandy beaches choose the area round Ostuni or the Ionic cost.
Public transport is not very well organized and I would suggest car rent.
Ryanair flighs to Brindisi and to Bari, but no other low cost companies come to puglia.
hope this is usefull to you
bye
