We stayed a few years ago was our first AI holiday and pretty much set us up that way since.Lots to do food excellent and varied childrens entertainment second to none with own clubhouse.3 pools to choose from.
Arenal itself wasnt great but we only ventured out of hotel cos we felt we ought was plenty to do in complex.Beer at the time was khronenburg i think.

the only thing that spoils it is the location
up a hill in a run down area
beer was Kronennberg + 2 types of san miguel
food & entertainment good
the snack bar is like a macdonalds great for the kids
the adults only bar & pool a haven
lots of british bars at bottom of bank
for sports ect.
