Any comments on the hotel?
Im enquiring for a friend who is thinking of going here but the Thompson brochure only gives 50% for the food.
Thanks

This may be of no use at all (!) but we have been to Riva a nimber of times and had a good look at the Grand Hotel. It is in a lovely location and looks over the lake. I can imagine that the view from the hotel restaurant is superb. have included some web sites we've collected (!) for Riva if that is any help.
This may / may not help but after ploughing though brochure after brochure, and having a good look when we were in Riva we have decided this year ( 2 weeks today!) to go to the Hotel Europa in Riva. Its a C17th building right in the centre of the town. Your friends may want to look at that one - its stunner right on the quay side, and looks beautiful. I think that the views of the lake have only cost us an extra £5 a night. The reviews we've read are excellent and relatives who have just returned said it was wonderful .... the food gets good ratings and it is part of the Best Western chain .... its a 3+ start hotel, but has recently added a small pool to the roof top terrace.
Am getting excited!
Anyway, here are the web sites - have a look
