Cockroaches can sometimes be seen if you are living in bungalows - in hotelrooms its not so normal. But they are not a plague and there are normally not so many of them. I think you will find cockroaches in almost any country where it is warm and humid.

Buy a cockroach spray and spray the room if you see any. Normally they are not a big issue at all. There are many mediterranean countries where I have seen lots more cockroaches than here.

Just tell your sister to pack the bags and jump on the plane!

True, its all resorts, we went to PDI and stayed in a Riu hotel and there were even cockroaches there (not in the rooms mind!)

But, Id recommend any Riu!!!!!!!!!
