Does anyone know how on earth they give out star ratings in Italy?
We have just returned from a superb week at the Europa Hotel in Riva del Garda. It is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in - re service / food / location etc .......... Superb!
It is classed as a 3 star superior ....... we have stayed at other 3 star hotels in the area and there is no comparison at all!
Can anyone cast light on how the ratings work?
Is it on facilities - the hotel had no pool, but a new roof top plunge pool / hydromassage pool / etc etc - fabulous!
The food was super - real gourmet style from the service to the content -----
In the UK the hotel would be 4 star -----
We have returned as very very happy people, but feel that the hotel deserves better.
Can anyone shed any light on it?
Can't help, sorry but I am going to look that hotel up as a possible for May 2006, thank you!
Glad to be of help ------------------ you wont be disappointed!
