We have decided to try and diy or holiday to marmaris after years of paying expencive prices through travel agents.
we went to marmaris this year and liked it , so would like to go back in august next year.
it all seems a bit daunting,apartment -transferes-flights...

we have contacted ichmeler online about it and will wait to see what they have.there will be 4 adults and 2 children ( at the moment).
does anyone have any advice or have they visited any of the villas ,apartments that are available as they arnt in the reviews section.
any help would be great

I can give you a review on the apartment below - Its great.... but as its mine im a bit biased!!! :lol:

Seriously though, DIY is really easy - there is nothing to it. There are lots of websites out there advertising private rentals and most of them can also arrange your transfers - Which leaves you just to get get your flights

Hi swbono, I was thinking about that last year, but couldn't get the flights cheap enough to make it viable. It would have been cheaper to book a late deal, as it would have been out of season.

One website who did offer silly cheap prices for accommodation though, especially with their early booking discount, was http://www.medhotels.com/, might be worth a look.

Try findmeaccommodation.com - they are normally even cheaper than Medhotels but act as their agents - work that one out !

I used transfer only in August and paid £16 pp return - The transfer were pretty trouble free - So i booked my mums on friday and again quoted £16 - However went to book my mums friends transfers last night(they are arriving on a different flight) - and i was quoted £24 pp - Work that one out :cry:

Anyone else booked them in he last couple of days and got the higher quote???

I booked last Wed or Thurs night (14th or 15th Sept) and it was £48 for 2 adults / 2 children, for October 2006, which I still thought was a bargain for a return transfer for the 4 of us.

I assumed that they counted the kids (ages 9 & 5) but if you are saying that you got a quote for 2 adults at the same price, may be they were free (they are listed on the invoice) ?
- there was no breakdown of prices on the confirmation, so hard to tell. :roll:

Presming as you booked before me you also got cheap rates - ie £16pp return - then they probably charged half price for the kids 2 x £8 Total =£48 :lol:

Im still waiting for the confirmation from last nights 'expensive' booking - will email then and ask why increase

Hi i have used this company for the last 2 years and never occured any problems!

They do charge half (or at least a discounted rate) for children so a party of 4 adults will be dearer that 2 adults and 2 children.

The Owner of the company Atilla is a genuine guy, i am sure if you explain the situation leighanne, Atilla will sort you out.

I though medhotels was good with £48.00 return transfer for 1A+1C but it's coming up on transferonly.com as £36.00 return transfer, so I think I'll book it with them.

£12.00 extra in my pocket, thanks guys
