I like Lanzarote, been to Costa Tequise a few times, most recently July this year. I was there a few years back - the resort itself is not as busy in my opinion as it used to be, a perhaps a bit run down in places, having said that we stayed this year in Lanzarote Gardens, whilst not ideal for my 14 year old son, it was definately very good for younger children, appeared to be a lot of young children and lots of entertainment for them. The Lanzarote Gardens is a very well keep complex and the apartments were very clean. There is an option for half board although we went self catering. A lot of Germans visit Lanzarote and there were a lot in the complex, however there were also a lot of British people there to. It is about a 10 minute walk to the main area of Costa Teguise which has many restuarants and bars. In particular one very good restaurant is La Provence, the food was very good as were the prices. We ate there about four times during our two week holiday. The weather in Lanzarote is very warm, but there is always a wind, which is good as you do not have problems sleeping at night. Beware of the wind though, it is very easy to get burnt.

Hope this helps.
