My Father in Law wants to spend between 4 and 6 weeks in Malta next year (around March/April time). He stayed in Sliema last year and wants to go there again, can anyone recommend any hotels. that are suitable for an OAP staying alone - needs to be nice and comfortable but not too pricey.

Any ideas would be great!

Also - can I be cheeky and ask for more advice? We would also like to holiday in Malta, we went a couple of years ago and stayed in St Julien's, loved it - especially the restaurants around Spinola bay, but have a three year old son and ideally would like somewhere that has children's clubs etc, but would like to be a reasonable taxi ride from St Julian's area? Any ideas
