We went for a similar break at the beginning of october for a few days without the kids staying in the Caspel We booked a transfer through alpharooms, someone on here had recommended it, and it was a great price and on time couldnt fault it. The hotel was quiet, basic and clean, catered more for older people but very central just a hill down to the beach. Food was ok and they had a two for one happy hour in the bar just before dinner which we took full advantage of Overall hotel was very good value for money and would definately go back to this hotel but not for a lively holiday with kids

I went to Salou last december and booked the flights with Ryanair and the accomodation (Hotel Caspel) through http://www.find-rooms.com

The transfer was via a bus that waits at Reus Airport for Ryanair passengers. It costs 9euros return, they ask what time your return flight is and pick you up from the hotel - its a very reliable service and as most of the hotels in Salou are shut in December it won't take very long to get to the hotel.
