Hi there! :D Only thing i can suggest, is to go on a search engine like Dogpile, type in Halloween and the area you are looking at, and the search may come up with some organised Halloween Parties/Trips around that area. http://www.clicksmilies.com/s0105/feiertage/feiertag-smiley-012.gif :)

theres a good selection of ghost tours in York -there are about 5/6 different ones all going off at around 8pm from various locations- most of them every night of the week. they get quite busy on a staurday night but they only last for about an hour - hour and half. Great fun tho we have been on 3 different ones but i enjoyed the "original ghost tour" that goes from the kings arms under the ouse bridge at 8pm . Great fun so maybe you could combine it with something nice to eat or even better a whole weekend in York. :D :D . York has that spooky sort of atmosphere anyway . Maybe you could take her to the York dungeons as well. I know its probably more for the kids but my kids were all too scared

Don't know whereabouts in the NE you are but if York is too far, how about Edinburgh? They do the full range of ghost walks there and some include actors who come out and play various parts including one or two surprises I will not mention but make you jump out of your skin.

The only other thing I can think of worthy of consideration is if there is a theme park near you, I should imagine they are holding special Halloween celebrations.

I'm glad I'm not your girlfriend as I would be terrified!

I think if you do a search on google you will probably come up with a lot of good ideas. Let us know what happens.
