Hi there all:
Have just had a 4 day break in Naples with the kids. While there, we visited the Capodimonte Museum but I have a question that i thought might just be answered by a person interested in art!
In the contemporary art display was a big black wall sized sculpture.
Does anyone know what it is. Women were dancing in front of it.
Thanks all.
Sorry, not answering your question but asking some more! Dis you stay in Naples itself - how did you find it for a family visit? We are going next week & have plumped for a budget hotel in Naples rather than something more expensive in a nicer area so that we can spend more of our limited budget on sightseeing etc. Hope I've made the right choice ! I think we'll enjoy ourselves anyway - can't wait to see Pompeii & Herculaneum.

We went with our 2 kids 11 & 15.
They enjoyed it very much. I think that Naples is a dump of a place, a very poor city, not nice to walk around off the main streets. Lot of litter etc, beggars can pester you. Traffic is horrendous. Great restaurants.
Having said that, we loved our break there. If you go to the Museo Capo dimonte, maybe you'd look up the answer to my question.
If you want to chat, PM me.

Thanks for the info. We've changed our booking now (staying up in the mountains outside Sorrento instead) as my husband was not comfortable with the area the Naples Hotel was in (Railway Station).
We're still hoping to get a day in Naples though so if we go to Capodimonte I'll keep an eye out for info on your black wall!

Did you have a nice Holiday?
