Apologies if this link has been posted prior to this but I find it very interseting and informative especially the '18/19/century'.
Sliema2, if you look on page 3 of above, at the bottom of the page, I believe there is a photo of the Sliema ferry. Would you confirm it please? (no. I am not saying you are old enough to remember it )
I do not know Sliema. Have only passed through it but am going there on the 28th Nov for 3 weeks. Can't wait. Might even wave at the webcam.

At the bottom of this page there are 10 past and 10 present photos. Initally I did not recognize where the present Sliema ferries (bottom row on right) was taken - then it clicked - the picture is the wrong way around
I am not sure about the "past" photos, I wasn't here at that time, but it appears to me that three more of the "present" photos are also the wrong way around.
1st on the left on both top and bottom rows and the 2nd from the right bottom row the cars and buses are driving on the wrong side of the road.

Hi Ingliza and Fallan, Il-Merill restaurant on St Vincent Street in Sliema which is actually behind the ferries, has some fantastic old framed photographs of old Sliema on the walls, including a really nice one of what looks like a covered jetty at the ferries.
