Not in the costa brava, but been to benidorm and it is nice and warm in the day and you can get a coach there

The Costa Brava isn't "hot" in winter - it may be more "pleasant" than our gales and blizzards but you need to go further south for hot weather. Benidorm (Costa Blanca) is popular at xmas, not so much for the weather, but for the party atmosphere. The Costa del Sol is also popular in the winter, but again, blazing hot weather is not guaranteed anywhere in Mainland Spain in the winter.
Some coach operators still offer holidays to Spain for xmas, but Benidorm is about as far as they'll go - any further south would be a hell of a long drive.

Think I might try Benidorm in April/June, I shall have to find out what coach operaters go there
