Can anyone give me an idea of what the resort of San Augustin is like for restaurants, where/how far the beach is in relation to the resort, and is there much for kids to do.
We like quieter resorts, but not to the point of nothing to do, so any feedback from anyone who has been there would be appreciated.
Cheers
RJ
Hi hope this reply isnt to late and you have already gone on your holiday if you havent then can i say that san Augustin is perfect is you want a quiet resort the main area you will find all your pubs n restraunts is the shopping plaza (all the taxi drivers will know it and it costs you pennies to get there) there are a fine selection of restraunts catering for all tastes who are trying to out do each other so you are treated very well for a very cheap price. And the added bonus is that the shopping centre has a massive play area with climbing frames trampolines which for a small fee your little ones can use and also there is a crazy golf course there which was good fun.
As you can tell my family and i loved san augustin which we found less busy and hectic and without those touts trying to get you to buy overpriced drinks in other bars in more popular areas (the fact is if you want to see those resorts you are only about 10 minutes in a taxi)
If i was to recommend another area nearby i waould say try the yumbo centre which has a massive selection of shops bars and restraunts.
Enjoy your holiday !!!!

Gally, thanks for the reply, the query was looking to holiday there next year, and we were looking at the Rocas Rojas Bungalows, so don't know if you know where they are in relation to the resort and the beach, crazy golf, restaurants, etc

Hi RJ,
I've just booked to stay at the 'Bungalows' next summer & was looking for a bit more info on the resort & the accommodation... I was delighted to find the review posted at http://www.realholidayreports.com/reports/reports.asp?id=99&hotel_name=Rocas+Rojas+Bungalows
Take a look for yourself... you'll see that both the location and accommodation sound really nice. Phew!
