Always best to check health concerns Paul, never take chances go for medical insurance as we have to living here...a must!!
thanks Jim. To be honest with you ,I have been reading a book one of those know your right type of things that gives addvise on all sorts of things. In it it says that you dont need insurance if you have the medical form as your luggage is covered by the airport and your household insurance, if it is a good one will cover you for the rest so Im not sure what to do.
Try being repatriated because you are ill or injured (god forbid) and see how far an E111 gets you !
Seriously, you cannot rely on only having an E111 or EHIC as it is now I know someone who did just that and was left with a h-u-g-e bill.
Remember - you are only entitled to the medical cover afforded to the people of the country which you are in. It does NOT cover everything by any means. Get insurance - it's not exactly expensive when compared to the potential consequences.
Take care
Ady
I see what you meen but acording to this book you are under EEC all classed as the same. Thats why we have so many people comming to this country and useing our doctors under the NHS.However I shall take your advice ,as waveing a book about and an insurance polocy, I think I would have more faith in the latter.THANK YOU Paul.
