We've just pre-booked a transfer from Barcelona airport to Santa Susannah which is just up the road from Pineda for later on this year and have paid just under £80 per journey for the four of us. I think that is a little over the odds but I prefer pre-booking than arguing the toss with a taxi driver. If it wasn't for the fact that we have two children I would take the train from the airport to SS because it's a straight through journey and doesn't take as long as the car but my children are a pain on the train!

Hi Gary, If you take the train it's about 5 euro and takes 1hr 10mins, you get on at the airport then change at Sants ( same platform ) then take the coastal train to Pineda, they leave about every 30 mins and it's easy. :D

I have just checked the renfe site and it costs nearly 11 euros from the airport to Pineda. This is because despite being so close to central Barcelona, the airport is actually in zone 4! During the main tourist season the trains run directly through to Pineda, there is no need to change. The journey is timetabled at 1 hour and 30 minutes when a change is not required.

You can ascertain all of this from http://www.renfe.es but don't select the english option because it doesn't really do too much!
