I am an owner advertising on Click4holidayhomes.com.

I would hope that all owners have the same integrity as myself.

I presume you are in contact with the owner who is requesting a deposit.

This is standard prctice to secure the dates you require.

We would request full payment 8 weeks prior to departure.

If you feel unsure, then just contact the owner, request to speak to them, ask for references / comments from previous holiday makers who have stayed at that property.

if you are still unsure then maybe this property is not right for you.

Good Luck

Thanks for the reply Liakada

Since posting I have been in touch with the owners who seem very nice and I have decided to book. They offered a n umber of references which was reassuring in itself enough for me to book. Huge saving over the prices we normally pay.

Apologies for the delay in replying to your post but it seems the moderators on this forum keep bumping their own 'Welcome' posts to the top of each thread (instead of making them sticky) which means it is not easy to spot when a new post has been added. Rather bizzare, and not quite sure why they do this but it does let down what could otherwise be a very good holiday forum.

Hi Tony ... it's not an ideal situation, but those 'Welcome' posts are essential as they are used by Mods & Admins as a marker to indicate which posts have been checked by a member of the team. Making them 'sticky' therefore would be counter productive.

However, the new message marker appears alongside all topics which have new posts since your last visit, so you should not be experiencing any difficulty.

You can also click on "Watch this topic for replies" at the foot of all topic pages, if you would like to receive an e-mail notification of replies to any topics which you have a particular interest in.

If you do have any more problems using the site, please feel free to post in our Help & Assistance forum for advice.

Thanks for the promt reply David. I didn't mean to citicise but it did seem a bit bizzare. I do understands though, especially as it is all to ensure posts are well moderated.

Liakada, thanks once again for the help. Which property on the website is yours? Who knows we may consider it for our next tirp :)
Thank you again both for your help.

i agree with iakarda they are a good company like most of the holiday sites they try to monitor both for the owner and clients, watching for scams we have had good luck with this company in rentals, but both partys are wary as so much is going on these days, good luck it gets easier with each holiday booked
