Thanks for all your help everyone. We still undecided but I think they are looking at going to Lagos so we would more than likely stay in the marina park apts, dont fancy risking the others after all the bad reviews.
What fantastic photos - brings back many happy memories and makes me want to back there again!!
We have just had a wee baby so were going to give it a miss this year but now?????????
Good job
Lummie
We're just about to go out there with our 3 month old granddaughter (suppose we'll have to take our daughter and son-in-law too!) so I'll let you know how it went when we return. As you know, you can buy almost anything in Albufeira that you can buy here, and of course the Portuguese adore children and it'll be interesting to see whether we feel restricted in where to eat in the evenings.
We'll certainly be putting the all-terrain all-singing all-dancing travel system (pushchair for those of you over 45) to the test on the path down to Coelha!
Only difference in the planning so far has been the hiring of a LARGER car to fit in the wheels of the above mentioned vehicle!
We are booking to stay in The Marina Park Apartments in Lagos so thankyou all for your help Does anyone know how far these apartments are from life eg shops pubs etc. Are they within walking distance?
Cheers, will be interested to see how you get on but if I managed Xmas shopping in the centre of Glasgow and the sales in Braehead so I dont think anything should be a problem now with the wee fella.
Might just take maw and paw as well as a treat for them (babysitters for me and the missus more like).
Queentutti,
Dont bother where the shops etc are, after a few drinkies absolutely anything is possible
See ya,
Lummie
Great decision, I'm certain you'll love Lagos.
Your apartments are about a 5 minute walk to the Marina, where you'll find bars, restaurants and shops, and a further 10 minute stroll along a nice promenade to the centre of town.If you feel you need a taxi back to your apartments ( for whatever reason!! ), the minimum fare will get you back home-3euro 25 cents during the day in the week.
If you need recommendations for bars/restaurants just shout.
Hi yes I would be very grateful for a list of bars etc
What types of bars/restaurants appeal to you ? If you'd like to p.m. me with a list of the places you're looking for, I'll get back to you with a list and some directions.
In the meantime, if you take a look at < http://www.simplylagos.com > this will give you some idea of what's available ( but only an idea as, at the last count, there were over 365 eating establishments in the town !)
Does anyone have any pictures of Lagos? Be nice to see where I am going
Check out the website in the last post.
