Stayed at Gerakina Beach complex, Gerakina Beach a few years ago now but very good, plenty to do for all age groups. Still good from what I have heard.

We stayed at Sani Resort in Halkidiki twice in the Porto Sani Village, expensive but 5 star luxury. But teenagers might struggle for entertainment, excellent kids club at Sani Hotel which is on same complex site. You would need a car to go further afield as no bus service to speak of.
But if you are looking for a top quality resort you cannot beat it.

Neil,

I went to Hanioti last June with my girlfriend. Its a nice resort on the eastern coast of the Kassandra peninsula. It centres around a main square where there are numerous shops, bars and restaurants. We found the restaurants to be of a high quality.

The beach is fantastic although it is very fine shingle not white sand as it can look like in pictures. The sea is unbelievably clear and calm.

We found there wasn't a great deal to do during the day but when the beach is as nice as it is and the sun is baking down you don't really want to do much else! Our evenings were generally as lively or as quiet as we liked. There are plenty of bars playing music until the early hours but also much quieter options aswell.

Pefkohori and Polichrono are the two neighbouring resorts and within walking distance (just) if you fancy a change of scenery. A taxi cost us 5 euros.

Hope this helped!

We've stayed in Polychrono, which is the resort next to Hanioti and we liked it. It was very relaxing, there are some great tavernas and bars along the seafront, plus some decent (and cheaper ones) in the side streets off the seafront. We found the food to be some of the best we've had in Greece. There are late night bars if you want to stay out or plenty of booze bargains in the supermarket if you fancy a quiet night on your balcony.
The locals were all very friendly and helpful.
We had a great day out on a cycling trip around the peninuslar but to be honest, there isn't a lot to see and do compared to other places in Greece however, at the time we needed a relaxing break and Halkidiki met that requirement nicely.

Hanioti definatly for a chillout holiday. Lovely long beach during the day and nice selection of restaurants and bars in the evening. Have been there 4 times over las 3 years and wouldn't hesitate to go back.
