Where is the best place you have found for buying 2nd hand books, most places are charging 250 rups for used books, [around £3.00]I generally pay 50p at home in charity shops. Found somewhere tonight that were selling at 65 rups, but little choice.
I am getting through a lot of books, and have ended up with quite a good library, would be willing to swap.
Will have a word this week and try and get it off the ground.
I have martina cole books and others I will bring out if I come in March
last year outside the highland beach there was a samll stall selling second hand books! im not sure but it hink he charged 100rs per book!
hope this helps!
Please, Vegasone would be very grateful , Lauraj I always used to go to them, and also give them my books [they actually used to do a straight swap as they knew me] went down there recently and they were not there, I think must have been a day off as they seem to be back now, will have a look tomorrow.
Hi , mojos in Arpora has literally hundreds of books which you can loan, great choice.
also hotels usually have a small library of left behind books.
BUT , I think the idea of a library at lazy days, with most profits going to CWT is a BRILLIANT idea.
By the way , being a yorkshire tyke (short arms/ long pockets) I get my paperbacks from a car boot. 20p each, unless I can beat them down

There is a bookshop outside The Dona Alcina in Candolim. The most they charge is IR250, but when you return the book you get half the price back.
Nicki's bookshop on CSM lane sells books but also has a library. You can borrow a book for 20 days at a charge and then on return of the book you get half of your money back. (It's on the left handside as you go up towards lazy days).
Also JJ's in Baga sell books and will give you half of the money back if you choose to return it (no matter how long you have kept it hold of it).
GFF xx
Spent ages looking for a bookstore and eventually found a great little one just up from the steps going to the beach in calangute, floor to ceiling second hand books, every author, language you can imagine...150 rupees each or 2 for 250, was chuffed to bits as I had read all 5 books i brought out and the library at the nizmar was a bit poor and only seemed to have russian books or mills and boon!
only seemed to have russian books or mills and boon!
