Has anybody got any ideas for where to go on honeymoon in early April for 2 weeks in terms of good weather? We like luxury holidays (4/5*) and 40/60 mix of city/beach (or twin centre) but we quite fancy somewhere like the rockies/yellowstone for a change as we are both into photography, but I don't really mind.
To give you some idea of where we have been and what we like:
Thailand (x3 love it!)
Antigua (great)
Carribean Cruise (good)
Rome (good)
Cyprus (x2 ok)
Eygpt - Sharm (hated it!)
I'm open to ideas, so lets have 'em!
Have you thought about maybe a two center to California and Hawaii, Dubai and Sri Lanka, Dubai and Mauritius, Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi or Singapore and Bali.
Cape Town/ Mauritius?
How about a safari...you'll get plenty of photo opportunities doing that. Can always be combined with the beach as well.
thanks for all the suggestions will look into them further.
I spent a month in Oz Sept/Oct 2005, visited South Australia, Alice Springs, Ayers Rock, Darwin, Kakadu, Cairns and Brisbane and it got hotter as we went further north. On a previous visit I was in Sydney in March and the weather was mostly dry and sunny. Great Country, I can't wait to go back to see more. I think you can visit anytime of the year and prices are probably cheaper at the end of their summer.
Depending on which airline you fly with you could make a two center holiday with somewhere in Asia. I flew with Malaysia Air and had a stop offs in Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
Never been at that time of year before.
Want somewhere nice and hot but not to far travelling 5 hours max
Like to swim so need somewhere warm enough.
Not to windy either.
Hope someone can help.
Many Thanks Dawn
Madeira
A little bit further afield Egypt/Dubai
Nowhere below 4 hours will it be certain that it is hot enough to swim.
Kind Regards
Stewart
Sorry Robooth put my question on the wrong thread didnt me to intrude
I hope somebody can help, I am looking to go away approximately 19th april for between 7-10 days. my hope is this where to go? it needs to be as hot as possible and no more than 5 hours flying time. we are also on a budget approx £600 for 2 of us hopefully half board. we love turkey but not sure if its that warm then? im not fussed if its quiet or bustling as long as its sunny and i can have a swim without breaking the ice of the pool first we would ideally fly from stanstead or east midlands.
Look at my post above.
I doubt Turkey would be warm enough.
Malta might be a possibility although the weather is a little uncertain. We have been to Cyprus at the end of April and it was warm enough to swim in the pool but chilly at night. Madeira is fairly warm all year round - we have been in January and sunbathed round the pool.
If swimming in an outdoor pool is not that important (most hotels have an indoor pool) and the budget is the most important thing then look at the Algarve - it won't be hot by any stretch of the imagination but it should be fairly sunny and the scenery in the western Algarve is lovely. Also there are lots of flights from all airports.

You should be able to get a holiday for that price to Tunisia, the weather will be warm in April, early 20's in the day, but chilly at night.
For an idea of temperature, have a look HERE and look at the April weather history.
I always use http://www.eclipsedirect.co.uk
