Golf del Sur is just to the west of Los Abrigos, although I'm not sure that you would call Los Abrigos a resort.

GDS is a purpose built area that has all sorts of property from very exclusive property all the way through to ... for the want of a better word 'tat'.

You either love it or hate it. It is in the airport flight path.

Next to Amarilla Golf, not that far from Los Cris, bout 10 minute drive.

Me and my husband stayed in the Green Park apartments in November, don't bother, there awful. Golf Del Sur itself was ok but i wouldn't go there on a family holiday with kids, not much to do apart from golf. Luckily we have now bought our own apartment in Los Christianos so won't have to stay in below average accomodation anymore.

As you leave the airport and get onto the motorway take the the first exit off at the island take the third exit at the next island take the third exit, keep in your right hand lane and follow the signs.

If you are in the centre of GDS you will hear noise from incoming planes. If you are frontline (near the coast) you will not. GDS is quiet not siutable for lively teenagers. However you will not be bothered by touts and the crime rate is very low. There are good restaurants.

You are near to Los Abrigos and a short drive to El Medano. If You hire a car you are about 15minutes from Los Christianos or Playa.

We have an apartment in Palm Mar, a residential resort between Golf del Sur and Los Cristianos and often go to San Blas in the evenings to eat but prefer Palm Mar as it is growing into a fine place to live. You can check this on the holiday truths site "furniture and things in Tenerife".
Anyone thinking of buying in the area could check this out.
