it all depends on the time of your arrival. For the company i work for the transfer one way is 58 Euro so that in Pounds is around 81.
If you are thinking to get a taxi from the airport keep in mind the following.
If arriving durring day time and you come out of the airport on the right hand site there is the taxi station to pick you up. there last year was a sign with the prices. it should be around the same one i told you. if a driver tells you differently tell them off If though you are arriving late at night then the price can double due to time of date.
and here is the thing you have to take into consideration. its all a matter of time. the prebooked taxi can not ask for more money and in theory they know where they will take you. the taxi you will get on the spot should cost you less but they might not know the accommodation you are going to. on the other hand they can always ask and find it.
So think of the possitive and the negative and do what is best.

Might be better to hire a car... we went on the coach transfer from the Aiport to Elounda and it took almost the same time as flying to Crete. Real nightmare! If we ever went back we vowed to take a taxi or hire a car...

never been good in maths
well some times i still work out prices in greek drachmas which is even worst....
