We have a week booked in Carvoeiro in late April but I'm not one to sit around much.
Is it possible to day trip to Lisbon ? How about Evora ? Thse look like a 2-3 hour drive to me but I understand going my be slow off the mian highways.

There are numerous companies doing day trips to both Evora and Lisbon on coaches from Carvoeiro.
If you wanted to drive yourself, it will take approx 2 and a half hours to get to both of them. Evora is a World Heritage site and is definately worth the trip. If you want another city, did you know that Seville is actually closer to the Algarve than Lisbon and has loads of beautiful places to see in it. It would take about 2 hours to get there by car from Carvoeiro.

Thanks for the reply. We'll be going to Lisbon for a couple of days after our week in the Algarve but I hadn't even consider Seville. Did not realize it was that close.
