Perhaps you could tell us a bit more about what you want from your holiday?Members may be able to point you in the direction of the ideal resort for you! ( I'm sure they will!)
We stayed at the Phoenix Park Inn hotel in Candolim and went with First Choice. We wern't dissapointed at all. The flight etc was fine and the hotel seemed a lot better than alot of them out there.
Candolim is anice place to base yourself as it's not too busy but plenty of eating places. Calungute is the next resort along so if you fancy a change of scenery then you can jump in a taxi outside the hotel and be in Calungute in 5 or 10 mins. If you go, you must eat at After Severn. The taxi drivers will know where it is.
Candolim also has some good beach shacks. We liked Sea n Sand as the sound longers weren't packed in and the locals working there were lovely.
I would recommend a trip to the Spice Plantation/Dolphin Trip and Waterfalls. All roughly £10 or less per person.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the replies, ive been looking at the Highland beach resort or the Prazeres resort in candolim and yes we would be looking at doing some trips would love to do the dolphin trip and to see the elephants, also i,m a bit worried about the food as i,m a bit fussy about what I eat (well I dont eat any meat or fish to be exact) apart from that i,m fine. Thanks xx
Hotel choices - a friend of mine stayed in Highland Beach and really liked it, since then though they are expanding massively, there are lots of reports of both hotels on this site which may help you.
