Dont be put off going to Marmaris or Icmeler area for the cost of taxis and transfers.

We pay £40 each way, for a private transfer from Dalaman to Marmaris. It takes just over an hour, and we always have plenty of room, as the person we use has either people carriers, of minibuses.

So plenty of room, there is no being squashed into a taxi, with suitcases on our knees. Been there done that. Never again!

Smart move. With the advent of the internet you will save a fortune by not using travel agents, holiday companies. Flights someone has alrready mentioned A1 Travel. A tip though. If you know the airline go direct to them via their web site and you can save even more. With Thomson this year has save me £10/person on what was already a competitive quote from A! Travel. You can do alot better on than a one bedroomed apartment by private rentals . Private renters are not as greedy as property developers. A1Villas at A1 travel have a number. There are also villas to rent on the Turkey site of this message board. (mine for one but thats in Kusadasi not Marmaris). Arranging transfers can also be done over the net. If you are going to Marmaris go to ggogle and type in Marmaris Travel Agents. Find some and get quotes for transfer or car hire. When you get back show off too all your friends on what a good holiday you had for so little money. Best of luck with your searches.
