Hello there, we always take Sterling and cash it there - if yiu've got a safety deposit box. Travellers cheques seem to cost a lot at either end.
You get a far better exchange rate over there.
Two of us seem to get through a minimum of £50 every day and trips are extra. We don't push the boat out, but don't go daft.
If you've got sprogs, it works out a lot cheaper to go A/I.

Lardos i think you'll find very reasonable but expect to pay a premium when visiting the major tourist stops such as Lindos and Rhodes Town.

I lived in Rhodes for a while and spent my winter's in Cyprus (Paphos) and i'd say that Rhodes was cheaper for meals, nights out, etc.

Enjoy :D

As Marcuschap says, Rhodes town can be a bit on the dear side. These 3 OJ's and a pint of beer in the main square, €23:50.

Worth every penny - when I got over the shock.

Ho yes - I got caught in that cafe in 1990!!!

For cheaper drinks in the old town track down the Mango Bar - much more reasonable.

Last October on Rhodes we spent about 1000 euros over a fortnight on a package in Haraki. We also spent 2 nights in Rhodes town and went over to Symi for the day and Lindos for a night! (We'd prebooked and prepaid the Rhodes Town accommodation, but paid for the Lindos room out of the total spent!)
