11 Weeks till I go to the sunny island of Corfu, can't wait ticking down the days we speak!! Looking forward to lots and lots of sun, sea, sand etc Saying at Legends Apartments..!!

It's getting closer now. Just received our tickets. 3 weeks today and we'll be in Kassiopi sampling the first of many ouzo's. Just hope the weather holds up for us. anyone in Kassiopi around the same time as us?

You arrive the day before our silver wedding anniversary. What was the weather like last year? Where are you staying? We're staying at the Dimas appartments which apparently overlooks the harbour. Any info on the beach at Kassiopi? What is the sea like? are there any sandy stretches or is it mainly pebbly? Cheers

We are staying at the Frosini Gardens Apartments again.

The weather was lovely and hot during the day last year but went off really cold in the evenings. Make sure you take a jacket! Having said that we were still able to eat outside every evening.

We didn't hire a car last year so the only beaches we saw were within walking distance and all pebbles. We are hoping to get a car or moped this year as there are so many places I would love to see having read about them on this site! Especially Taverna Agni.

Kassiopi is a wonderful place and May is a nice time to go if you like walking, we used to go for long walks every morning stop at the three brothers restaurant at the harbour for a long lunch then back to the apartments to lie in the sun all afternoon!

Then out in the evening to one of the lovely restaurants our favourites being Strofalia and Janis but they are all nice as are all the nice bars.

Have a wonderful time, you never know we may see you there!

I'm a dedicated sun worshipper and as we're only going for the week don't intend doing much more than lying by the pool or beach (weather permitting). We might hire motorbikes as we've enjoyed doing in Greece in the past. We'll take it as it comes. Where are you travelling from? We're flying from Cardiff, so if you happen to hear a welsh accent it might just be us?

We are travelling from Bristol on a nice early flight which should get us to our resort by lunchtime.
Last year was a nightmare we were on the same flight looking forward to being nice and early at the resort and had terrible trouble with the coach transfer!

The reps got confused with the coaches and when we finally set off the coach broke down at the Nisaki beach hotel. Then we finally got to Kassiopi and had to wait for the rep to meet us and take us to our accomadition, we waited so long the coach was blocking the road and had to keep driving round - we went past our apartments 3 times!! but couldn't get off.

It is really funny now but at the time very frustrating as we didn't get there until 4.30pm.

We headed straight off to get a drink and found ourselves in Janis looking out over the sea.... it was heaven and we soon forgot the coach journey!

Hopefully it will all go smoothly this year !!!

Hi again Amber,
I think we arrive around 7-7.30pm. Were planning on dumping our suitcases and heading straight out ( well you have to make the most of the week haven't you!). Hope the transfer will be straight forward or we'll miss most of the evening. Your episode sounds like something out of a carry on film, but as you said it wasn't funny at the time.

Just been trying on my holiday clothes and suprisingly everything still fits. I'm having a job deciding what to leave behind as I normally go for two weeks. Speak to you soon. 2 weeks tomorrow - Yipee

Well the tickets have arrived, case is packed i'm ready to go....... 13 days to go!!

We are going to Corfu, next Monday. It will our 8th time and we are staying in Ipsos yet again. Cant wait to see our old friends,Its just like going home.

this is my last post before leaving for Corfu. Relaxing this evening after preparing everything. We set off for Cardiff airport in the morning. Not too early though as we don't fly until around 2.pm. I'll post a review when I return.
