Hi Dave, the day you need a jumper in July for Malta even at night is the same day that it will snow in Valletta in July so never, you will be looking at discarding garments not putting them on, the amount of times we have been out in Sliema up to the early hours of the morning wishing it would cool a bit is countless, with regards to places to eat you can always rely on Il-Merill on St Vincent Street Sliema which is behind the ferries, Mrs Sliema2 and I go there a lot as has Mr & Mrs BHM Trev and it is very highly reccomended and well worth going to, if you need to book you can ring Vince or Mary on (00356) 21332172 or (00356) 99420265 the food is traditional freshly prepared fayre including things like Bragioli, Rabbit (Fenek), Fresh fish, Pasta, Pork and Lamb Chops, big juicy steaks and chicken fillets and much much much more, and no it's not hard to get to Naxxar on the bus from Sliema the bus number 65 goes there directly from Sliema Ferries and Tower Road although you will probably have to make your own way to the Pallazo once there, hope this helps Dave but as always just ask if you need more help, out of interest where are you staying in Sliema ?.

Thanks Alan and Sliema2 just the job, as for the jumper it was me just being a bit silly again, this will be our 5th time to Malta, 2 being in the winter and 2 in the summer.
The hotel we have ended up going to is the Kennedy Nova, we went there a few years ago and I think if you like a hotel then use it again, it has all we need and is just in the right place to get about the island, with the busses being just across the road, I look forward to trying the Bragioli and a big juicy steak with a nice bottle of local red 8)

Hello all, well it seems a long time since January and it was all cold and damp when we booked our summer holiday, not that I am counting but there are only 7 weeks to go before we go.
Two years ago when we were in Portugal for our summer holiday and the Portugese were robbed by the Greeks in Euro2004 all the pubs there had T Vs to show the football, do the pubs in Malta have T Vs for this years World Cup?

Hi Dave, I have a sneaking feeling that maybe just maybe one or two pubs in Malta / Ghawdex might show some of the footy during the world cup as a couple of bars do have TV these days  , I personally fancy Italy, Germany, Brazil or Argentina to win it, unfortunately Filfla didn't qualify this time due to uneven playing surfaces or else my lira would of been on them, who do you think might win it Dave ?.

Caw for now

Hello Sliema2, well the home sides often do well so Germany may well win it, but my hope is Portugal do it only becuase I have there shirt. Had Comino been in it I would have had to to had picked them.
