Never been to Lassi, however, all the Greek islands I've been to are about the same as regards car hire.
There should be local companies in resort you can hire from. I usually find this cheaper as oppsed to pre booking, or booking with a tour operator.
I've booked with Kefalonia Rent a Car who gave me the cheapest rate of all I looked at, and that was a fair few. With the FDW it even covers the underside of the car for 4X4's. They have a chat system on their site to contact them and they will deliver and pick up anywhere on the island.
check out Economy car rentals - we got a very good price from them for car hire from Athens
Greece-rentacar.net, the leading car rental network in Greece which helps you choose from a large selection of Rental Cars that are available in all areas of Greece including Athens, Thessaloniki, Crete and islands
Can anyone tell me what sort of car is best.
I have heard Kefalonia is quite hilly and i am therefore wondering if it would be better to have a larger car or even a jeep.
Any one been there done that?
Greekstones hire Suzuki Jimny four wheel drive soft top Jeep. Antonis is a great guy always smiling and very helpful. We have hired these with no problems, have been off road too. Get the soft top down feel the wind in your`e hair and have a great time just take it steady.
We only had a small saloon car and found that fine to be honest.
