Looking forward to my hols this year in Kefalonia. Never been, therefore I have a very serious question, the most important question ever to be raised on this forum in fact!
Will Kefalonia (bars within) have the required satalite technology to transmit the World Cup?
If you have been before, please put me out of my misery.
Thanks
The Greeks do watch football, of course they will have the World Cup.
i was in lassi for the last world cup and loads of bars screened live matches even the ones with 8.00 am kick offs ,so should be no problem.
ooh there is nothing nicer than watching a big match in a lovely taverna with the sun shining outside!!
Well seeing as England are in such an easy group and will obviously qualify through to the knockout stages, I am really looking forward to sitting in a Taverna with some Scots and Irish fellas in Kefalonia to watch them get knocked out by the first half good team they meet, and watch those white shirted fans crying in there beer!
Shame you scots and irish fellas ?? wont be watching your own teams in the world cup in a nice little taverna well maybe in 4 years then again maybe not.
Well i can tell you, you wont see me sat in a taverna watching the footy! i will be laid out on the beach or in the sea still with a beer though !
Just wondering if anyone was in Greece crying in their beer last night when they got beaten by the Spanish!
^^^Ha ha, ^^^
I was in Kefalonia when Euro 2004 was on and i'll be back in time for the start of the world cup. The atmosphere was electric then and i'm sure it will be this time around too..................can't wait!
if you want to chat about your experiance of watching 22 bloks chasing a ball whilst in a taverna please use the greek chat thread
wizard

To give the most acurate and up todate information it would be helpful if you added which resort or area you are staying in. I'm sure H-T members can point you in the direction of local websites and maybe taverna websites with the correct football information for you.
Please also remember the many different nations who visit Cephalonia so not every television set will be tuned in to english speaking stations. the more information you give the more you get back..
Paul..
