At risk of sounding incredibly stupid here but geography was never my strongest subject at school. :oops:

I am just trying to organise some travel insurance on line for my visit to Golden sands on Thursday ....

Is bulgaria in EUROPE or rest of world for insurance purposes???

please help.....

It will depend on your insures MOST class Bulgaria AS EUROPE only the odd ones are behind times and charge extra as if it was still the old Soviot Union

Eventhough Bulgaria is classed as part of Europe for holiday insurance purposes, it is not part of the EU so your E111 health card will not be valid there. You just need to take your medical cards instead.
