Casares is a lovely area. As you say, Estepona is only a short drive away where you can find lots of bars and restaurants, shops etc. There is also a little marina there which is very pretty.

Plenty of golf, great beaches, plenty going on. Enjoyx

I think you will certainly need a car. If you have one then there are no problems. You will be in (IMHO) one of the nicest parts of the Costa del Sol. I have spent the winters in Estepona for the last 12 years. If you wish to know anything just ask and if I can help I'll be only too happy.

we do have a car for the fortnight - so am looking forward to seeing different places and not lounging by the pool all day everyday.

Looking forward to going to Tarifa, possibly will try Seville and i love Torremolinos - havent been there for a few years, so looking forward to seeing how its changed.

Any other tips of where to go. Ronda? Granada? Is Gibralter just a tourist trap or really worth visiting?

hi richie,gibralter is certainly worth a visit.if driving i would suggest leaving the car on spanish side of border and walk across.its easy to get about on foot.chuck
