Hi, thank you for reading this post.
We'll be back this summer and the question came up about visiting a museum that may be Knighthood (Sir) oriented.
Does one exist?
Preferable one that is official, or has some real credentials.
A few questions too so we can visit with some insight:
What is the spouse of a Knight addressed as?
Are people Knighted Posthumiously?
In the British Military, can enlisted get Knighted as well as officers?
If you pass a Knight in a hotel lobby,, does anything distinguish them?
Can people Knighted from former UK Empire countries like Australia use the term Sir?
Thank you for any replies.

I don't think many of us Brits know much about these things.......a knight would probably be wearing an old tweed jacket .......certainly no suits of armour these days!
This may sound a bit daft, but we went to Tintagel a few years back - its all related to King Arthur but the only Knights in it are in the Round Table Museum! It may not be knights in yuor sense, but it s stunning spot, the castle ruins are beautiful, the village full of stuff to do with the legend and a hall re the round table stuff.
It's a big deal over here. So British,, nothing else like it anyplace.
Seems like it's so trival in the UK.
Ok,, then,, maybe I'll settle to just raise a glass with the Chelsea Pentioners instead.
But most of us never come into contact with any Lords and Ladies or similar.
Which part of the UK are you planning to visit? Then maybe we can point you in the direction of some museums etc. nearby?
York has some good museums, if you are thinking of going somewhere other than London.
There`s also The Royal Armouries at Leeds, if you`re interested in historical weapons and armour. Also, the Tower of London is well worthy of a visit.
What about the Royal College of Arms? Perhaps they can help you.
