I would disagree with the quote book early, having just come back from turkey alot ofpeople who booked in january 06 for their holiday in june paid over the odds £1100 for 2 adults and 2 kids under the ages of 2, so they go FREE,They only booked for a weeks holiday with thomsons

we paid £ 430 for 2 weeks B & B at the Tolay HOTEL with everything included flights, meals ,transfers, for 2 adults and 1 child

so to be fair, just keep looking for a late bargain, we booked a week before we flew out, and booked with holidays4u

This year there seems to have been lots of bargains about. Including flights. I have seen flights as low as £49 return. Whether this is because it is quiet this year, but next year may be different. Just luck of the draw, if you can go last minute it's fine, but some people cannot do this, so have to pay higher prices.

I am waiting for the British Airways flights as they were a good price last year. Anyone know when they come out?

Hi Sandyglen, do you have a link for the flights at £49 because we are trying to find cheap flights at the moment for September and the prices are quite high. We have seen a few for £69 but then they add on all sorts of supplements the main one being the increase in fuel prices. Any info would be helpful thanks

I got a bargain i thought

Waiting till last minute for accomadation

We always go A/I but swaying towards S/C

But am always scared that we may run out off money

Were when we do A/I all i take extra is £200 thats for a meal out once while we are there and boat trips etc

And off course extra money for all the lovely clothes shoes etc that they sell

The most we have ever paid is £1500 for A/I flights hotel etc

And ive been told people who go S/C can spend £2000 in a forntnight on food drink etc family 5

Thats what puts me off but i would really love to try it

Eat out at different places eat day

By the way the kiddies im taking are our grand kids aged 8yrs and twin girls who will be 3yrs old at the time

By the way people booking excel flights if you put divers in code prom you get extra money off price

- though I appreciate it may be a bit more difficult to find rooms that sleep 3 children when alot of places only accommodate 2 max per room.

I booked my May and august Holidays for 2007 in April 2006.

But being the capitilist I am, cost didnt come into it.

i think if you need to go in school holidays it is nearly always better to book early-- also try freedom flights they use xl aswell but they came out about £60 cheaper than booking xl on web!!

To get the holiday i want in the six weeks holiday i have always booked as soon as the brochures come out. But i have always decided with help from this forum where i want to go. Once i have set my heart on a place that is it, no where else will do. I booked turkey for july07 in may 06, i could not do it before that or i would have.

does anyone think to get the best deal for next year i should book now or wait until later maybe around christmas when the travel agents are quiet.....thanks

January is a good time for bargains as the travel agents offer good discounts then.I personally have always booked late deals(up to 6 weeks before I go) but I never go away in school holidays.There have been some excellent late named deals around this year and I have took advantage of these deals twice this year.
