Hi... Has anyone been to Frangokastello in Crete, or any nearby place/village?
I believe it is very quiet, but the sea is crystal clear and warm...
4 of us are going in August. We don't want the nightlife. A bottle of wine or two sat near the sea is just up our street!!

I haven't been since 2001 - but you've just about summed it up! If you look at Google maps there's a VERY good satellite view of Frangokastello.
You can also have a look at http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/7445b/670c3/ if you like. I think there's a little bit more development there than before, but that's not saying much!
