I got back last Sunday and found Marmais to be fairly quiet, much quiter than usual. The advantage of that is that the restaurants and bars are keen to get your business and the prices in the resorts are excellent. With a great exchange rate as well Turkey is better value than ever.

There is some hassle from the bar owners etc but no worse than normal and you can get a seat in any rstaurant without having to queue.

Went to Icmeler for the day several times and it also appeared quiet. I cam up from the beach one day around 2pm and there was not a sole within about 400 meters, maybe I need to change my deodarant. LOL

hey!i came back from marmaris at end of may/beg of june and we had found this year to be quiet too......it meant restaurants were trying to pull you in even more so than usual but you can understand that,its their livelihood and even if you refuse,theyre usually ok about it!the places we ate at and can recommend are call aysha (on the beach front),perhaps slightly pricey but great food and service and no hassle,mandy who stands at the door is lovely and will chat away without haslling you la vita (at end of beach front)is quite nice too and will sometimes bargain with you i.e. gave us free child's meal (there were only 3 adults and 1 child as well) and fruit cocktail! ephesus at the marina is excellent but again a bit pricey-you get what you pay for though and its nice and peaceful sitting round there too!for a quick bite to eat if your only going out for drinks is mudurnu chicken,we'd been to marmaris twice before and never tried it but did one afternoon and it was great and cheap too! going back on thursday so hoping to revisit these restaurants plus another few different ones

I wonder if it has somthing to do with the world cup
