can anyone tell my what the prices are like in kos town, i have been told its quite expensive for food/drinks etc where are the best places to eat
thanks
Hi Kathy ! Like all tourist areas prices vary greatly. If you eat in the restaurants overlooking the harbour then you pay for the scenery. If you go back into a little side street you'll find some lovely cafes and restaurants which will be a lot cheaper. When we went around 2 years ago prices were slightly cheaper than the UK.
We just got back from Kos and found Kos Town just as inexpensive as Tingaki or Kardemena if you shop around. Taxi 's can be pricy but a drink and a bit to eat are OK price wize depending on taste.
You have to visit Platanas (small town, only few km far from Kos town). There's nice Turkish restaurant called "Sheriff's" with great food, and cheap (the data from 2002).
