as far as I am aware, Virgin are the only Network to offer Text Messages at .03p per one page of text message sent.

Well thats certainly a good deal on texts Gary, and as you say is probably the best one for your Mum so better off sticking with that!

Sue Ellen. I am well aware that texting Virgin to Virgin mobile are free in the UK until September this year, but that was not my point. Taggy suggested I ditch Virgin and opt for another Network. If I do that, and go with say Vodaphone then if my mother was to text me on my Vodaphone Mobile from her VIRGIN mobile, the text messages will NOT be free.

Apologies for my typing error an getting your name wrong Sue. But with all due respect you have misunderstood my post. Text messages are free on Virgin ONLY until September of this year, after which they will NOT be free. So in less than three months time it will be .03p per one page of text once agin to text Virgin To Virgin.

Agian with all due respect, I am dong no such thing. I appreciate Taggy's advice, but as I clearly stated in my post, that will not be suitable for me as once Virgin cease their Summer Text Promotion they will once again charge their standard rate for sending a trext message which I assume will be .03p again.

However, if I switch Networks this wioll not be the case as in as far as I am aware Virgin are the ONLY Network to offer cheap text messages.

Sue Allen, Taggy appears to have understood what I was saying. I don't quite understand why you do not.

B.H.I.C. Why can't you do what Taggy is suggesting and use the other network whilst abroad and use "FREE" Virgin text to your motheror 3p text, whatever.
Anyhow I don't really know why you are getting involved with this topic because you don't seem to go to Beni or anywhere else anymore anyway, you just google and get your info that way, we all know that on here.
