Quite often when browsing the HT Forums, I get a little window 'pop up' i the bottom right hand corner of my screen which states "Blocked a Pop UP From HT Truths", or words to that effect.
I do not know if this is something that is installed on my own PC. I am not aware of any Pop Up Blocking Software on my PC, or if this is something to do with HT, but it often causes a problem by freezing the HT site and I have to close the application, log out and log back in again.
Its only a small window, but it is a bit of a nuisance....any advise please......ie what is it and why is it causing HT to freeze up on my PC?

Here at HT you will not be subjected to pop up or pop under adverts.
The only pop up that is being displayed is when you get a new private message. A pop up blocker will stop this being displayed. This pop up, however, can be de-activated in your profile.
Either way, it should not cause your computer to freeze.
Perhaps there is an underlying problem with another piece of software you're using.
Look in the Computer section and browse through the recommended software sticky for good free software that solves ad/spy-ware and viruses.

Ah yes, I see that in my profile and have deactivated it now. I will take a look at the information in the threads which you advise Mark.
Its not a major problem to be honest, but just a nuisance when the PC 'freezes' or locks itself. Many thanks for that.
Incidentally, when you say another program my PC is running, do you mean like Adaware stuff? I think my pc is running such a program.
