Hello, when i go to Goa i usually get a package deal, but im considering flying to Mumbai from manchester and then getting a connecting flight to Goa.
Ive had a few quotes and the best ive come up with is
28 nights, flying from manchester with Emarates(sp) for 1 adult and 1 child £778
and then about £100 to get from Mumbai to goa return.
so all in all its costing us about £900.
Only trouble now is we have to find somewhere to stay for 28nights.
What is a reasonable price for a standard hotel in Goa?
hi there when are you planning on going you could book the casa sea shell in candolim i think it works out at 10.00 per night for the room it has swimming pool and breakfast is included if you go into hotel reviews you will be able to get more info hope this helps Elaine
planning on going this November!
thats reasonably cheap isnt it? £10 a night.
we only want a base. as long as its got a decent swimming pool, a bed and shower then we dont mind.
hi there the sea shell is a very nice place we have booked for jan 07 the price we got was rs 950 for one night because it falls in the new year then rs750 per night for the room for the remainder of our holiday it is very very clean and the gardens are beautiful
We are paying about £550 each,( my wife, son and i )which includes the hotel in Mumbai, all flights and 10 days in an apartment in Calangute.
If you wish to know more please PM me and i will do all i can to help.....
Southall Travel
BMI, Man to Lon for about £60 return. or the train for about £24
BUT remember it is your responsibility to leave enough connection time and not the carrier.
yummymummy I'm sure you will get it a little cheaper than that, we flew with Emirates last November from Manchester and then used Spice Jet from Mumba. We stayed a couple of days in Mumbai just to break up the journey. We stayed at the Casa Sea Shell and will be trying to book there again for November this year. I thought BMI had some good deals to Mumbai at the moment.
I'm (about to book a return flight to India (Mubai) for £300), this is available with British Airways and Virgin, Although the standard fare seems to be a little higher at £330 return... (This is from Heathrow)
I wouldn't rely on the flight connection from London to Manchester - the season before last we met some people on the plane who were doing that and they missed the connection as our plane had to circle round Heathrow for quite a which made us about an hour late landing then the que at passport control was unbelievable. They ended up taking a train - at extra cost - as there were no more flights available that day.
Ive kind of got it sorted, just that when we arrive in mumbai there isnt any flights to Goa for about 12 hours so i dont fancy waiting around in mumbai airport for the flight to Goa.
