Ummm not really sure where to post this, so I'll post it here
Anyhow I was thinking of going on a Ski holiday, as I thought it would be nice to try something different to a summer holiday!! But as me or my g/f have never been before, we don't really know the price of a holiday like that!!
I was wondering if anyone on here could give me any tips, for example how much a week holiday might cost me with all the prices of ski hire, lessons and what have you? I was also wondering if you can do a 4 day break? Also maybe the best places to go, both for being cheap and learning?
As i'm completely new to the whole Ski thing to be honest any help would be greatly appreciated
I have moved your post to our Activity Holiday forum where it may get a better response. You should be able to find some information in other topics within the forum.

Thanks Very Much
Hi, skiing can be a very expensive hobby, particularly if you get hooked. There are ways and means to do it more cheaply though. Go outside of school holidays if you can (mid-March is a good time, as the weather is better, the snow good, and it is less cold. Bear in mind you will be tired at the end of the day, and will not feel like preparing your own meals. I would recommend a beginner went for a chalet holiday in a smaller resort. Don't waste money on the bigger ones like Val D'isere and Three Valleys. If you want anymore help, post or PM me the questions.
Domobianca for skiing is a great place to start. Its in North Italy, and suits all levels and ages. It is not yet an overpopulated resort, and has no on site hotels, but hotels are around within 15-20 mins, and most cater for them with a shuttle or transfer service anyway in the morning and afternoon.
If you want it cheaper, go self-catering and cook your own meals.
