We stayed in a villa in Las Adelfas 1 for 2 weeks came back 3 rd August, you haven't said if your staying at 1 or 2. Las adelfas 1 has just had the pool area refurbished and they are in the middle of doing up the rest of it. I cant comment on las adelfas 2 really.
This was the second time we have stayed in golf del sur ( i'm also going back again in Oct for another week, my kids have already decided for us that we're going again next summer!) Most reviews will say that its not a suitable area for anybody uinder the age of 70, well I'm certainly well under 70 (by 32 years in fact ) and we really like the area and so do our teenagers.
The restuarants are spread out abit most being down at san blas about 15 mins walk away. The marina area has some nice places to eat, the mexican and the japenese are both lovely. If you go to suningdale village ( which is very close ) they do nice food and entertainment most evenings.
Neither myself or my husband play golf although my 15 year old son has just got into it. So although it is a golf area you dont have to be into golf to have a nice holiday
We like the area because its very safe in comparison to many of the larger resorts.Which means that if we're out for the evening and either my son or my daughter want to go walking off somewhere then they can. San blas has a couple of karaoke bars and a nightclub. there are also bars that stay open til 2 ish which last time we went a couple of years ago there wasn't. It is a quiet area but you can easily travel around the island from there. If you already knew about Golf Del Sur and just wanted to know about Las Adelfas then my apologies.
If you need to know anything else let me know.
Cant comment on the weather that time of year as I've never been.
Enjoy your holiday.

Can't comment on the appartments or area as we normally stay in Costa Adeje or Fanabe area, but with regard to the weather you will definately need your bikini. We always go for Christmas and New Year and although it can be a bit unsettled at this time of year there will be more sunshine than clouds/rain. Even if there is some cloud or rain it will still be warm.
