just wondering if my daughter will need her swim shoes - or are the beaches nice and soft ?

It depends which area you are in but generally the beaches are sandy.
I would always take swim shoes anyway in case she wants to walk on rocks etc.

Some of the best (and safest) beaches can be stoney so we all take a pair of knackered sandals just in case. I'm a bit of a woose and need the sandals to get from the sunbed to the sea, across red hot sand

Coral Bay just west of Pafos for sandy beaches....I hate sand..
