OMG - I booked our first DIY holiday this year. We leave on Monday. Accommodation voucher was e:mailed for printing off as soon as payment was taken. Flight tickets arrived last week. Everything seems to be ok - we have not noticed anything 'iffy' on the bank account, but we did book with Travel Republic and Excel. Good luck and have a good time.

I've booked flights and hotels online a few times. As long as you book with reputable people who use secure servers, you should be fine. Just make sure you keep copies (in a safe place on your pc) of any tickets or vouchers, and print copies for when you travel.
