We were there for three weeks and some of my personal highlights were -
Arriving back in Loggos to find that very little had changed, (apart from the new location of the bakery and the opening of the Olive Tree restaurant, which I'd already heard about and which I think deserves a 5 star rating, if only for the fantastic Bloody Mary Soup!) and within 10 minutes it was like we'd never been away.
Finding that our friend Tolis was back working at O Gios restaurant in the evenings after a year's "sabbatical" last summer and swapping "granny pix" with his mum, who had a second grandson earlier this year, so she's still ahead of me

Standing by the kitchen window after lunch one day, gazing out to sea and suddenly spotting a pod of dolphins making their way into Loggos harbour. I think that must have been the fastest I moved during the entire holiday when I ran into the bedroom to tell Mike and grab the binocs! They spent about 10 minutes leaping around in the harbour before moving on and it was the first time I've seen "wild" dolphins so close up - amazing!!!
Getting the 10 o'clock boat to Anti-Paxos and being the first people on Vrika beach and having the garden at Vrika taverna to ourselves for the first 2 hours. Here's a tip for other early-arrivers at Vrika - ignore the row of sunbeds along the beach and walk up the gangplank into the garden of the second taverna. There are sunbeds, hammocks, beer barrel tables and shady trees for later in the afternoon and if you arrive early enough like we did, you get to bag the best spot!
Finding that the cat, whose family of kittens we'd lovingly fed last year, was still visiting the Manor House each morning and was heavily pregnant again. She was so big that we thought she was about to drop her litter as soon as we first saw her, but she was still hanging on to them when we left three weeks later. I just hope that the other guests who arrived at the Manor House after us were as crazy about kittens as we are, because I think they may have had a few visitors!
Last but not least, seeing all the old familiar faces of both the locals and the same visitors who, like us, go there year after year in July.
Low point of course was leaving Loggos, knowing that we won't be back there until September next year because we're going to Thailand in April. But on a brighter note, I tentatively asked my daughter and her husband if they would like to come with us next year and they seem really keen - I think the idea of having built-in baby-sitters for my grandson Sam definitely appeals to them! So if they decide to join us, that means I'll have two weeks of both Paxos AND full-time Sam to look forward to
